Skincare Ingredients To Avoid

Keep your skin happy by staying away from the following ingredients ,especially if they are on the beginning of an ingredient list ,so this's just a heads up for you to check what the ingredients on the back and see if they really are good for you , you and your complexion will be thankful you did!

Hope it will help you reduce your chances of suffering a painful breakout and skin irritation issues

The bad Alcohol : in many toners ,serums and creams products contain alcohol which can damages the skin barrier and can cause your skin to be much more sensitive if the beginning ingredient listed contains ; ethyl alcohol, isopropyl alcohol, SD alcohol/ denatured alcohol, alcohol denat,  benzyl alcohol , methanol

Fragrances are one of the most common that can cause an irritation and inflammation which can cause the collagen in your skin to become destroyed ,opt for fragrance-free formulas or contains a tiny amount of fragrance as much as possible
The list below of most common names
Fragrance/ Parfume
Alpha isomethyl ionone
Citronellol
Lavender oil
Lime
Lemon (Citrus juice/oil)
Limonene
Linalool
Orange
Rose flower extract
Cinnamon
Cinnamal
Fennel
Bergamot oil
Clove/ Eugenol
Menthol
Menthyl
Mint
Mentha spicata
Melissa
Tangerine
Eucalyptus
Sandalwood

That's it ,avoid ALL fragrances if you can ! Most of us think that 'natural' means better for our skin but in fact, there are good and bad natural ingredients just like there are good and bad synthetic ingredients, the same for 'hypoallergenic' and 'for sensitive skin' labels that sometimes contains many of synthetic and natural fragrances which can cause irritation and potentially contribute to breakouts to many of us

And the more ingredients listed to avoid; Sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), TEA-lauryl sulfate, Albumin

Price: 2.25 CHF for 0.01 oz/0.28g made in Germany

I came across Essence Long Lasting Eye Pencil while casually sampling products at Coop supermarket well ,when i first bought it I was a little skeptical because it's so cheap but it somehow reminds me of one of my favorite eyeliners 'chanel stylo yeux waterproof' and I'm a sucker for greens so I purchased the '12  i have a green' as thought it was a beautiful deep dark green for fall. After I tried it, I went back and bought a few more ^_^

There're many of long-lasting eyeliners fades and smudges on me especially on the outer corner of my eyes because of my waterline tend to get oily a bit in the heat and humidity, I don't have that problem with this eyeliner. I find myself reaching for them very often. They are highly pigmented color pay off , smooth, glide across the lash lines and waterline with ease, no pulling/poking.The texture is great . I normally apply this eyeliner on my waterline and it works marvelously. it has amazing staying power ,  from morning till night without smudging or smearing or give me panda eyes. It lasts maybe 10 hours maybe more on me , true to its statement it doesn't budge until you remove it

I can totally say, this long-lasting eye pencil stands fully up to the  long-lasting claim and stands up to other high-end products , I'd recommend it to anyone especially if you have oily lids, its definitely worth a try without breaking the bank.

REVIEW : MAC Face and Body

Face and Body Foundation is a fairly sheer, liquidy foundation but it definitely can be layered for more coverage ,just wait for the first layer to dry and then build second layer over the first one and third layer... until you are satisfied with the coverage. At first ,it takes some practice but you'll get a perfect natural, dewy finish, it just makes your skin look more even, it has just that "your skin but better" look. I personally find it looks best when applied with the fingers, I prefer to warm up until the consistency becomes thicker and apply it in light layers

I have been using this foundation for years and find it is really one of the best foundation I have ever used.  So this is definitely one of my favorite summer foundation (nc35 / I wear the shade C4 in this foundation)
